A special Mother's Day sale!

I have had multiple women tell me that I should push the jewelry for Mother's Day and somehow inform their husbands they want a necklace, or a bracelet, or a set.

So, here is my push to those husbands! I know that we can not have the actual jewelry back by Mother's Day, and I know that most of you men are not 100% comfortable getting your children dressed for portraits AND picking out the portrait for your wife. As a result, I am offering a pre-paid plan. If you purchase a session and jewelry for your wife you will have a nice gift certificate with sample photo of the jewelry to hand to her for Mother's Day.

This sale ends Friday May 4th (so I have plenty of time to get the gift certificate printed).

"A Special Mom" - Pre-pay for a session (that's $100) and you get $75 in credit for a piece of jewelry that I am offering for 25% off the normal selling price! This session must be used within 1 year.

What this means - 50% off the session fee of $50, then you get 25% off any jewelry item (or 2 or 3). The $100 you pre-pay will have $75 of credit (that can be used toward the purchase of a piece of jewelry, and YES it will cover at least a necklace and pendant). Just tell me when you call that it is for "A Special Mom" in your life!

Thank you N for entertaining me!

Meet N, he was up for being silly. N and I had a great time playing around during this session (which was for his new little brother). This little boy was a big helper and very loving. I had a good time getting to know him, his bear, and his snuggler! I think he would get along great with my boys as they share many interests. N, I'm going to Tivo your favorite cartoon for my boys as I really think they would like it. I'm so glad his Mom let us play some.

This next one is for N's Mom. I'm in the midst of proofing, and that new little baby is being saved just for her! Take my word for it, he's absolutely precious (just like his big brother).

Because I heard this Mom was checking the blog

I'm almost done proofing this session, and, because I was told the Mom was showing off her beautiful kids, I thought I would give her more photos to show off!

I'm just in awe at how beautiful these kids are. I do have some of them smiling, but I'm saving those for Mom's slideshow. :)

Come vote for me!

Yes, a little hoping for help from all of you. :) I was informed recently that one of my images was selected for a competition and it is a People's Choice. There are some truly inspiring images that I am up against.

But I feel like Pinky Bear deserves to place! Pinky Bear is the little girls most loved possession I do believe.

THANKS!!!!

Hats off to this Mommy!

I had the pleasure of having a session with this beautiful sibling group recently, and yes that is 3 kids under the age of 18 months! I knew I had gotten quite a few of them individually, but their Mom and I were hoping for at least one of them together.

This Mom is truly a Super-Mom in my books! She is doing a wonderful job with raising these kids and they are full of joy, laughter, and energy! I will have more of this session soon as I'm knee deep in editing right now. I just could not wait to show this one of them all together!

Sunday in Big Spring Park

In an effort to actually get that Easter picture of my boys, I took them after church this past Sunday to Big Spring Park. I had my normal 5 seconds with them cooperating, then I had a silly face photo, then they were off to feed those poor starving ducks. Because you know, Mom, those ducks have not been fed in ages and are absolutely starving! If they did not feed them, then those poor ducks were in danger of expiring.

Anyone who has ever been there to feed those ducks on a Sunday, knows that your bread crumbs are apt to sink to the bottom of the lake before those rather plump looking ducks make it over to eat even one morsel.

Here my boys are during their 5 seconds of cooperation!

Have you had fun this Spring?

WOW what a spring we've had! From beautiful March weather, to cold freezing April weather. I was so busy during Spring Break that I did not grab the chance to take portraits of my boys in their Easter finest. I thought, wrongly as it turned out, that I could grab a shot of them Easter morning in their shorts and short-sleeves. Can you believe how cold it was? Instead of my vision, I ended up with lovely images of them hunting Easter eggs in their winter coats! Of course I could not convince my two boys to do anything but Star Wars eggs. Poor Yoda lost an ear in the bush, and we never did find it.

Thanks to all my clients who were flexible with rescheduling due to weather and freezing temps! You all are the best.

I am loving this baseball season so far, all the chances to see the little kids through the big kids playing baseball. I find myself cheering for the kids while taking the action photos. I have so much fun at the games, and I hope the kids love the images I take of them. My only wish is that I had an even bigger lens!
