S, I'm just about done!

S (and her family) have been ever so patient while I proof their session. It's taken me a few extra days, but I'm almost done. I once again took too many photos, and I'm trying to narrow it down to a reasonable amount for viewing. It's been tough because her girls are beautiful.

I should have this session up for you soon!

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

I know I did, even if I slept in a tent the entire weekend! We went to the Smokey Mountains to camp, visit Dollywood, shop, and make memories. We did it all, made many many memories, and can you believe I took only a handful of pictures?! I kept meaning to take more, like one of our campsite, but I kept having too much fun playing with my kids.

It's only now, back at home, that I think of what I have not captured for our memories. Things like Samuel playing in the creek, JM playing basketball, putting up our tent, my youngest nephew swinging, my oldest nephew squirting my brother with a water gun. I did not get any photos of us at Dollywood either, no photos of us soaking wet after riding the water rides. None of Grandpa sitting with the little boys.

I do however have many memories in my mind. Memories such as Mitchell and Samuel talking on their Cheeto phone in some little kid silly language, then saying "Bye!" and eating it. LOL It really is one of the things you had to be there for I guess.

On Monday, as we were driving home and I saw the flags out on the interstate, I was reminded of how lucky we are to live somewhere where we have the freedoms to go camping, visit amusement parks, and enjoy each other. We have the freedoms to go tent camping, to laugh and play with our kids, and to take days off from work.

This Mom got it!

I walked into their home, and one of the first things I was told was that the kids picked out their own clothes! I loved it. We had an enjoyable afternoon session, complete with silly faces and lollipops. I know that the Mom was wondering if I even got anything she'd like, and I knew I had. Especially since I was shown and told that she adores the close ups of the face (be still my heart, as I love those as well). :)

I wanted to share this ONE image from her session with everyone. That sweet little boy with that adorable grin is precious. You would never know he was capable of the BEST silly faces! I do believe that one day, I'm going to have to make a showcase of those silly faces and show them to you. But for now (especially since I have an image competition coming up), you are left with this sweet innocent face. I know the Mom will love it (almost as much as she'll love the silly faces).

C, in case you are wondering, I'm just about done proofing. I really do need to try and get it down to a reasonable amount for you. But honestly, I'm having a tough time cutting out any of the silly faces.

I wonder what he is thinking?

I'm proofing this session, that I did at the grandmother's home. This little fellow was playing outside, following the girls, and wanting someone to play with him. As I was squatting down in the grass getting shots of the girls, I noticed him. Ready to pounce! On me? On the girls? On my camera? On a bug? I'm not sure, but he was very intent.

He watched me all day long, and followed us around. I'm laughing as I go through the many proofs as I can see him in the background on a few. Perhaps I should have taken more of him.

I'll post some of the girls soon, I've just started finalizing their proofs!

Meet S, a great big sister

I first had the pleasure of taking S's photo the day her little sister joined the family. Her Aunt had me take her and her cousin's pictures for Christmas Cards. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting S's little sister (and she's a cutie as well).

I am just about done proofing this session, and had quite a few great shots to show. But chose this one, the very first image I took from their session. I knew when I snapped the photo that it was going to go well. This helped to calm my nerves (yes I still get a little nervous before every session).

Did you miss me?

I hope not! I spent a wonderful weekend with my Mom and Sister in Nashville at the CK Convention (Creating Keepsakes). It was heavenly. Besides buying way too much scrapbooking supplies like paper and cut outs, I took some classes. Nothing photography related unless you count that photos go in the projects! I made a little chalkboard picture frame (decorated of course), a 6x6 inch cube with photos and turned it into a clock, and some other fun things.

I even took my camera to capture some great shots of our hotel, my family, and some of the neat projects, but you know what I did? I left the CF cards at home! I was forced to go the entire weekend without a camera in my hands, and you know, the sky did not fall!

I'm well rested now, my creative juices are flowing, and raring to go with all the sessions I have lined up in the next few weeks! Thank you all for being understanding while my response time this weekend was a little slower than normal.
